'Until Lies Do Us Part' Selected For New York Lift-Off Film Festival

NEW YORK — Independent filmmaker Alex Moon has announced that his latest short film, 'Until Lies Do Us Part', has been officially selected for the New York Lift-Off Film Festival 2026.

The cinematic short explores themes of betrayal, identity, and emotional reckoning through a stylized narrative centered on a bride who discovers she is not the only woman promised the same future by her partner. What begins as a wedding day celebration quickly escalates into a high-intensity story of confrontation, pursuit, and emotional truth.

The film was created using a combination of generative AI tools and modern digital filmmaking workflows. Visual assets were produced using Dreamina, while final editing, pacing, and sound design were completed in CapCut Video Studio.

According to Moon, the project represents a shift in how independent cinema can be created using emerging AI technologies while still maintaining strong narrative structure and cinematic language.

“This film was never about the tools themselves,” Moon said. “It was about how emotion, timing, and storytelling can still drive a film even when the production pipeline changes.”

The project follows Moon’s previous success with 'You Are Not Alone', which received the Audience Choice Award at Lift-Off Global Network’s First-Time Filmmaker Sessions.
