Dallas private investigator Daniel Gomez has made his independent filmmaking debut with 'Wong Place Wong Time,' a buddy-cop action-comedy filmed in Dallas and released across Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and YouTube.

Produced through Gomez’s DG Productions, the film follows private investigator Detective Gomez and his former partner, Detective Tony Denton, as they reunite to investigate a decades-old case. Their search uncovers a criminal empire and a long-running revenge plot, leading to a confrontation that blends humor, martial arts and classic buddy-cop action.

“I’ve been a PI for over 30 years, and with this film I’m giving DFW a small taste of what I do every day—some of it fictional, some of it not,” Gomez said. “But at the end of the day, it’s entertaining.”

Gomez grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas and leads Gomez Detective Agency in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He also founded DG Productions and is active on social media as @cheatersdetective.

The film premiered June 29 at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas before its streaming release. A sequel is already in development.

'Wong Place Wong Time' is available through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and YouTube. More information is available at wongplacewongtimemovie.com.
