LOS ANGELES — Actress, filmmaker and producer ZhuZha Akova is expanding Koshka Films with a slate of female-led psychological thrillers and crime stories, including the completed short 'A.Silverspoon' and the feature project 'Klara's Box.'
Akova founded Koshka Films to develop original, character-driven work across psychological suspense, crime drama, science fiction and historical drama. The company’s current portfolio includes 'A.Silverspoon,' a psychological thriller short that Akova wrote, directed, produced and starred in.
Koshka Films is developing 'Klara's Box,' a crime thriller about a woman whose delivery job draws her into a criminal network as she seeks answers about her father's death. The feature builds on Akova's 2023 proof-of-concept short of the same name and addresses the human impact of the fentanyl crisis.
The feature is raising funds through a public Wefunder campaign. Koshka Films says it is continuing to develop projects centered on complex female protagonists, psychological tension and socially relevant stories.
