Midwest Apocalypse Feature 'Holler' Releases Official Trailer and Launches Final Kickstarter Push
An isolated survivor and a pregnant young woman travel across the rural Midwest in a story about grief, isolation and human connection.

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Subterranean Sound & Vision has released the official trailer for 'Holler', an independent apocalypse horror feature currently in production in Illinois.
Set years after the dead have overtaken the world, 'Holler' follows an isolated survivor who reluctantly begins traveling across the rural Midwest with a pregnant young woman. As their journey continues, survival becomes complicated by something he has spent years avoiding: allowing another person to matter to him again.
Rather than building the film primarily around zombie spectacle or the mechanics of an outbreak, 'Holler' uses the apocalypse as the backdrop for a story about grief, isolation, human connection, and what remains worth living for after the world has already ended.
The feature is being produced independently through Illinois-based Subterranean Sound & Vision with a small filmmaking team and a strong emphasis on the landscapes and atmosphere of the rural Midwest.
The filmmakers have now released the film’s official trailer as production enters its final stretch.
To help complete production, the team is also running its final Kickstarter campaign.
“The dead are in the world, but this story belongs to the living.”
The 'Holler' team is currently continuing production and welcomes press inquiries, interviews, and requests for additional production materials.
