Dean Shaw will write and direct 'Burnt Orange,' a crime-series pilot that is scheduled to begin production in Spain in October 2026.
Luing Andrews is the first announced cast member. Shaw describes the project as a story shaped by his experience of Essex and the Costa Blanca, with characters drawn from people he has encountered.
“Like my characters, I’m just an Essex boy done good, living out here on the Costa Blanca now,” Shaw said. “The characters in 'Burnt Orange' are based on real people I met over the years.”
Shaw’s commercial work includes campaigns for Red Bull, Audi, Toyota and Formula 1. 'Burnt Orange' is his first scripted project, and additional casting and production details are expected before filming begins.
