LONDON — Multi-award-winning film production company Raya Films has revamped its fundraising campaign for the indie film ‘Cult Night,’ which is now “In Demand” on Indiegogo. Along with fresh perks and opportunities for supporters, the campaign page showcases exclusive first-look clips in an updated pitch video.
Filming wrapped in January 2025, with cast and crew working in sub-zero temperatures and unique locations — all adding to the foreboding atmosphere of this suspense-thriller.
“I believe this is our best work yet,” says director James Smith. “We have some incredible footage featuring top-notch actors, and now we need to raise funds to complement their performances.” The team continues to raise funds for sound design, color grading, VFX, and distribution.
“This film is going to be big,” explains producer-screenwriter Caroline Spence. “We already have interest from a whole bunch of sales agents, and we’ve got some awesomely cool film festivals lined up ready to introduce ‘Cult Night’ to its first audiences in culturally stunning locations around the globe.”
‘Cult Night’ tells the story of American student Ember, who connects with her movie-producer uncle in London and becomes embroiled in a world of deceit, exploitation, and murder. A classic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Ember witnesses something she shouldn’t have, takes something she shouldn’t have, and finds herself pursued by a blood-thirsty killer who leaves a trail of bodies in his wake.
Directed by James Smith from a screenplay by Caroline Spence through their UK company Raya Films LLP, ‘Cult Night’ is destined for the international festival circuit before being distributed worldwide in 2026.
