Seed&Spark Campaign Launches To Fund Documentary To Preserve Motown Music’s Legacy Of Love

Spiration Films makes its debut in the film industry with their first documentary in production, The Spirit Moves Through Motown. This film explores the life and faith of Jack Ashford, the last surviving Funk Brother, whose legendary percussion helped shape Motown’s iconic sound.

Founded by Monica Graves, Michael Durio, Ernie J. Paris, and Nat Graves, Spiration Films is committed to creating films that inspire hope and celebrate the human spirit. Guided by the motto “Breathe Inspiration,” the company’s first project delves into the spiritual roots of Motown, highlighting how faith influenced Ashford’s journey from a young musician to a cornerstone of music history as one of the Funk Brothers - Motown’s studio musicians.
