Chicago, IL – May 6, 2026 – Randall Media is proud to announce the release of its latest short film, "Love to Love You Baby." Written and directed by Arnetta Randall, this complex film is an exploration of sexuality, religion and Blackness. The film stars Hollywood budding starlet E’myri Crutchfield (Netflix’s Forever, Rza’s One Spoon of Chocolate), and Chicago’s own Sherrice Eaglin (Chicago P.D., The Chi)  " Love to Love You Baby" follows Jean as she escapes her strict, religious parents by moving in with her childhood friend, Tina. Unbeknownst to Jean, Tina has a wilder lifestyle than she could’ve imagined. “This is my best film yet.” Randall. ** “Love to Love You, Baby”** is inspired by the Donna’s Summer song of the same name. It’s also inspired by Summer’s early life of growing up in a religious family and how her career was at odds with that. The lead character, Jean is a pastor’s child with a strict mom. She wants to break out and live life on her own terms. Her friend, Tina is there offering her encouragement and a “way out”. I chose to make Jean a sex worker because it the antithesis of being a pastor’s kid and also examine how sex work can offer agency but there’s limitations to that agency. Randall hopes this short film will open doors not just for her, but for more stories that center Black and queer characters.
