Logline

Three suburban girlfriends confront major midlife crises in their marriages, motherhood (or lack thereof), and trysts with younger men.

Synopsis

Middle-aged moms Lisa and Sharon find their marriages in ruins. Instead of accepting toxicity, they say yes to “fun” as they are pursued by younger men. Meanwhile, 50-and-fabulous Clarissa faces her own perfectionism and chronic singlehood, all while watching her friends and clients spice up the suburbs.

Artistic Statement

This mature comedy/dramedy explores the deeper reasons—beyond stereotypes—why older women date younger men. The dialogue blends the suburban wit of Sex and the City / And Just Like That with the irreverent tone of Workin’ Moms and the romantic spark of The Idea of You.

The filmmakers aim to uplift single moms and women in midlife, highlighting empowerment in a society that often makes thriving difficult. Midlife can be a moment to level up, rediscover joy and embrace change — even in the chaos.

It’s time to move beyond outdated “cougar” and “MILF” tropes and instead celebrate these women’s agency without judgment.
