Venice, Calif., 10/23/25 – The non-profit Visions of Possibilities is eager to announce that The Girls Talkin’, formerly known as Conversations ‘Bout The Girls, is returning on November 9, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. PST, in-person and live-streamed, for its 20th anniversary celebration at the renowned Electric Lodge in Venice, CA.

Set in the cheekily intimate backdrop of a boutique bra shop, The Girls Talkin’ blends laugh-out-loud comedy with heartfelt reflection. Audiences can expect candid conversations on everything from first bras to nicknames for breasts, from cleavage to cancer — and all the messy, beautiful truths of womanhood in between.

Directed by the powerhouse visionary, Sonia Jackson, this unapologetically bold production features an all-women cast and crew, amplifying stories of inclusivity, self-love, and connection.

“I thought, let’s have a show about women having their own comments about them.”, says Jackson, drawing inspiration from her acclaimed one-woman show often compared to The Vagina Monologues.

This one-night performance stars Candace Carnicelli, Chrissy Bergeron, Christen Keogh, Holly Alsop, Jaelyn Jones, Livia Treviño, Malaika Jules, Nancy Barragan, Simone Reynolds, and Sonia Jackson.

Candace Carnicelli is an actress/singer/dancer/mediator/peace activist and nonviolence practitioner who has performed (and protested) in numerous theatres, streets, and venues throughout the U.S. Her film credits include Under Fire and Error in Judgment.

Chrissy Bergeron is a native of Boston and earned her BFA from the University of Massachusetts. Her stage career began in New York, where she performed Off-Broadway in Woman of Manhattan, The Transfiguration of Benno Blimpie, and The Women. Chrissy now calls Los Angeles her home. She can be seen on Apple TV in the film City of Love, on Amazon Prime in Bad Kill, and in Space Command, streaming on all platforms.

Christen Keogh is excited to return to the stage as Sammy in The Girls Talkin’. She last appeared in The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers for Disney+ and has studied at both the Annie Grindlay Studio and the Upright Citizens Brigade. She is also a classically trained vocalist, ice hockey coach, and journalist.

Holly Alsop is a versatile performer with experience spanning independent film, musical theater, and live music performance. Her film work includes the independent production It Makes Its Way.

Jaelyn Jones began performing at MICDS with Prelude to a Kiss and musicals including Little Shop of Horrors and No, No, Nannette. At Saint Louis University, she starred as Charlane Woodard in Pretty Fire. Beyond the stage, she writes original songs, lends talent to fellow artists, short film projects and works on film and TV productions. This marks her fifth collaboration with The Girls and marks Jones’ 10th year with the production. About this, she says, “These stories have touched me deeply, and I’m so grateful to have been part of so many Los Angeles runs throughout the years.”

Livia Treviño is an actress who hails from Texas, hoofed her way through New York, and now hams it up in Los Angeles! She is known for her work in TV, film, and theatre, most notably as Mrs. Timmer (Grace’s Surly neighbor) in WILL & GRACE (the reboot). She has appeared in such TV shows as MATLOCK, NCIS ORIGINS, THIS IS US, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, and many others. Treviño says, “The girls and I are delighted to be a part of this uplifting production!”

Malaika Jules is a stand up comedian and recovering female rapper from Inglewood, CA. Her one woman show, “90’s Hip-Hop Raised Me” won the Producers Encore Award at the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival. “It’s about time the girls had a conversation and that is exactly what happens in The Girls Talkin’! We’re not burning bras but we are talking about Boobs!”, says Jules.

Nancy Barragan is a Los Angeles based actress. She has worked on stage and screen. She is excited to reprise her role as Maggie in The Girls Talkin'.

Simone Reynolds is excited to be performing in ‘The Girl’s Talkin’ Monologue Series. She is an actor and voice artist and likes to contribute in community stage plays and short film productions locally and beyond.

Sonia Jackson is a multi-talented performer, writer, and spiritual storyteller whose work bridges art and healing. With more than 30 years experience in film, television and theatre, she has brought 50 characters to life across her acclaimed solo and ensemble shows. Her on-screen credits include Abbott Elementary, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Them, Stray, and her newly-released music video “She Prayed for Me.”
