CLEVELAND, Ohio — Sciarpa Productions, LLC, a Cleveland-based independent film company, has announced an expanded commitment to producing and releasing new films annually. Founded by Edward Lee Cornett, Debbie Scaletta, Ron Scaletta, and Larry DiBartolemeo, the company is dedicated to showcasing the pool of actors, crew, and creative talent across Northeast Ohio.
“Our goal is to tell compelling stories while giving local talent a real platform,” the founders said. As part of its growth, Sciarpa will host industry veterans for a series of workshops and talks covering acting, directing, cinematography, film financing, and distribution.
The company’s latest release, ‘A Scarf for Joey,’ is currently working its way through distribution and exemplifies Sciarpa’s commitment to bold, locally driven storytelling. Its next film is a psychological thriller titled ‘Avenging Justice,’ written and directed by Edward Lee Cornett, with filming set to begin in October 2025 in Cleveland.
