LOS ANGELES — After Earth is destroyed in a cataclysmic war, the last remnants of humanity flee to a harsh, mysterious planet called Zebra. Amid the chaos, a quiet outsider named Chris Qonnor, played by Yakov Kolontarov, discovers that the key to survival — and the truth about his past — lies buried within his DNA. Alongside Xyra (Lara Salem), a brilliant warrior haunted by her parents’ murder, Qonnor uncovers a conspiracy that could either save this new world or destroy it.
Written, directed, and produced by Kolontarov as an entirely original work, ‘Chris Qonnor: The Hero’ is a science fiction adventure inspired by the heroism of ‘Man of Steel,’ the wonder of ‘Harry Potter,’ and the epic adventure of ‘The Mummy.’ The film blends action, mystery, and emotion into a cinematic experience Kolontarov says audiences “won’t forget.”
Kolontarov, founder of Midnight Pictures, has spent more than 15 years in the entertainment industry as an actor, writer, and producer, with appearances across Netflix, NBC, Apple TV, and Roku TV in projects such as ‘I Think You Should Leave,’ ‘The Holy Trinity,’ and ‘Winning Back the Ex.’ ‘Chris Qonnor: The Hero,’ which he hopes to expand into a full-length feature, is now streaming worldwide on YouTube and BiliBili TV. He is set to return next year with ‘Breaking Point: A Deadly Heart,’ an action thriller.
