LOS ANGELES — The Blaze Brothers Production Company LLC has launched an Indiegogo campaign for the post-apocalyptic thriller ‘Run,’ produced and directed by Nathan Blaze and starring Marie Wetherell (‘1923’), Blaine Hall (‘Killers of the Flower Moon’), Tom Zembrod (‘Howlers’), and Stelio Savante (‘Ugly Betty,’ ‘The Chosen’). The funds raised will help complete the last two main scenes.
Synopsis: Doom has encompassed the post-apocalyptic world. Claire, one of the few survivors of a global invasion from otherworldly creatures, and her best friend Squeaks the mouse are hunted by a cannibalistic gang. All she has to survive is her pace.
Produced by Jon Blaze, Brenda Blaze, and Kyle Blaze, the additional cast of ‘Run’ includes Eric Neal Matthews, Justin Alan Dunlap, Lexi Graves, Winston Easy Ebune, Tanner Lucas, Brenna Spencer, Tori Davis, Squeaks the mouse, Michael Costanza, Rick Gokenbach, Megan Bell, Jake Bell, and Mitch “Taco” Bell. The screenplay is by Nathan Blaze, with screen story by Ryan T. Johnson.
A statement from the campaign reads: “Our goal is to raise $50,000. The good news is we already have a rough cut of the majority of the movie, with two main scenes left to film. This will go to final production costs — filming the opening scene, which involves a big shootout, and the final scene, which involves a practical creature — as well as post-production and marketing. Even if we don’t meet our goal, the film will be made.”
Contributors will have perk options ranging from a poster, signed copies of the film, and premiere tickets to a personal phone call, naming a character, and film credits. The release date is to be determined.
