NEW YORK — Writer, producer, and performer Steve Strangio is launching a new effort to bring his body of short films directly to audiences and potential collaborators via social media. With ten short films already available across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, Strangio is opening up his cinematic world to fans and fellow creators alike.
The films — ranging from comedy and parody to fantasy and drama — represent years of original storytelling, each blending wit, emotional depth, and quirky, character-driven plots. “I have several shows on streaming, and I even released my first independent film, ‘A Good Man,’ across several platforms a few years ago,” Strangio said. “But right now, I’m focusing on getting my short films out there. Social media is a good place to start — it’s direct, it’s interactive, and it’s the perfect way to connect with other filmmakers and producers.”
Standout shorts include ‘Journey to the Strip Mall,’ a quirky suburban odyssey adapted from an award-winning feature screenplay; ‘The Interview,’ a comedy about a young girl who “vets” her father’s new fiancée; and ‘The Dress,’ a romantic fantasy drama about a man uncovering an emotional secret that redefines his view of love and memory. More are being released regularly.
Strangio is a multi-hyphenate writer, producer, performer, and sport inventor. He is the creator and host of ‘Super Mega Trivia Slam,’ an interactive game show available on streaming platforms including PARAFlixx, and has created multiple new sports — most notably Zoneball, featured on ESPN8: The Ocho. The Long Island-based creator continues to expand his reach across platforms, always on the lookout for new collaborations.
