HONG KONG — 'Eyes of Salt', a cross-cultural drama starring James Pratt ('Malibu Crush'), Bernice Liu ('The Legend Is Born: Ip Man'), Erin Anne Gray ('Catfish Killer'), Kelly Monisse ('Malibu Crush'), Randy Charach ('Vanished') and Hong Kong actress Melody Law ('Bankshot'), will be showcased among Hollywood co-productions at the 30th-anniversary edition of FILMART 2026 in Hong Kong.

FILMART 2026 runs March 17–20 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. Produced by Haley Lynch with Hong Kong-based associate producer Sasha Waseem, the emotionally driven film blends Hollywood and Hong Kong talent, with Liu and rising actress Melody Law incorporating both English and Cantonese in select dialogue.

A prominent figure in Asian cinema, Liu achieved widespread acclaim with television hits such as 'Virtues of Harmony' before moving into major films including 'The Legend Is Born: Ip Man', 'Bad Blood' and the romantic comedy 'Perfect Wedding'. Her presence in 'Eyes of Salt' reflects the growing bridge between Hollywood productions and established Asian talent.

Logline: The story centers on Tanner Reed, a New York playboy who returns to his estranged father’s seaside home after 30 years, carrying a secret that threatens to dismantle what remains of their fractured relationship.

Director James Pratt leads the production, with Justin L. Levine ('Wingman', 'Life Happens') as executive producer and Bounty Entertainment serving as distributor for the Australian territories. The full cast includes James Pratt, Bernice Liu, Erin Anne Gray, Melody Law, Kelly Monisse, Kev Hannibal, Randy Charach, Damian Nixey, Mark Sturzenegger and Inna Moshkovich.

“I believe we will see an even stronger presence of co-productions at this year’s event. It’s a formula that has yet to be fully explored, but its growth is undeniable,” Waseem said. “Films like 'Eyes of Salt' are a reflection of that trend — blending the best of both Hollywood and Hong Kong to create something new and exciting for a global audience.”

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, FILMART showcases cross-regional content from more than 760 exhibitors; in 2025 it gathered over 7,600 industry practitioners from 42 countries and regions.
