Freaky Geese Productions has announced the cast for ‘Romance is Dead’, an original British comedy feature. Set in a present-day English suburb, the fast-paced story follows the Harrisons as they gather to mourn the loss of their beloved grandfather — but the solemn weekend quickly turns into a whirlwind when Grandma becomes the target of Kenneth’s flirtatious advances, and the family must navigate buried secrets, sibling rivalry and awkward romance.

Jessica Fostekew (‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘Cuckoo’) plays matriarch Karen. Yvonne Edgell (‘After Life’, ‘Derek’) portrays the mourning grandmother, and David Shaw-Parker (‘The Muppet Christmas Carol’, ‘The Crown’) is her best friend Kenneth. They are joined by Maddie Stoneman (‘The Witcher’, ‘Malice’) as younger sister Emily, Dan Le Friec (‘Holier Than Thou’, ‘Occupied’) as older brother Chris and Eve Campbell (‘Tell No Lies’, ‘EastEnders’) as careworker Nicola. The feature introduces new talent Danny Barker in the role of absent father figure Greg.
