MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Creature Fear, an indie horror feature written and directed by Manny Gumina, dives deep into psychological terror and suspense. The film chronicles the harrowing story of a starving felon whose descent into madness turns violent after consuming diseased venison, dramatically affecting the lives of two musicians in a small Wisconsin town.
Featuring standout performances by Natalie Gerene, Jarrod Langwinski, and Billy Chengary, Creature Fear is produced by Manny Gumina, Derek Schmitt, and Jake Prine. Filmed in the very county where infamous killer Ed Gein committed his crimes, the project brings historical true crime intrigue to a modern horror narrative.
With a runtime of 82 minutes, Creature Fear blends elements of horror, thriller, and crime genres to create a unique, suspense-driven cinematic experience. The film’s atmospheric tension, character-driven storytelling, and authentic Midwestern setting set it apart from conventional indie horror.
Creature Fear will have its world premiere at the Buried Alive Film Festival in Atlanta on November 7, 2025. The festival, known for spotlighting innovative and daring horror films, provides the perfect platform for this chilling story to reach enthusiasts and critics alike.
