HOUSTON — Relentless Entertainment has announced the official Tubi premiere of ‘Deadly Escape,’ a suspense thriller written and directed by Lakisha R. Lemons and executive produced by Sean Blaze Henderson.
Now streaming free on Tubi, ‘Deadly Escape’ marks a milestone for Texas-based independent film. The thriller, which recently earned Lemons the Writer of the Year award at the Houston Association of Producers (HAPIE) Awards, tells the story of a woman on the run who finds herself trapped in a far more dangerous situation than the one she left behind. It features performances from Isaiah Vaughn, Dee Hill, Dakarai Akil, and Larissa Dali.
“In a world where survival often comes at a cost, this story asks how far would you go to escape the past?” Lemons said. “‘Deadly Escape’ isn’t just about danger; it’s about identity, trauma, and the stories we carry in silence. Creating this film in Houston was deeply personal. I hope its release sparks more opportunities for local voices to be seen and heard on a national stage.”
Designed with minimal locations and a suspenseful, performance-driven structure, the film is a joint collaboration between Relentless Entertainment and LL Productions. It is also available on Prime Video, Fawesome TV, and YouTube, and was released Aug. 31, 2025.
