A new independent coming-of-age drama follows four friends as they gather for one final hangout after graduation.
'The Last Sunday of High School,' directed by brothers Nigel and Stewart Butler and produced by Butler Media Productions, centers on the quiet transitions that follow the end of a familiar chapter: revisiting old memories, saying goodbye to an era and looking toward the unknown.
The feature was filmed in Greenville, South Carolina, as a grassroots production by local filmmakers. Its story focuses on the conversations, familiar places and changing relationships that shape life after high school.
“I think everyone can relate to that time in your life, whether it’s graduation, retirement, moving or something else where everything changes,” Nigel Butler said. “We wanted to capture that feeling and tell that story with these characters, and I think that we achieved that. I think it’s really relatable.”
The film is set for an Aug. 14, 2026, VOD, Blu-ray and DVD release.
