Not For Nothing follows a group of neighborhood friends who set out to uncover the truth behind a young woman’s mysterious fentanyl overdose. What begins as a search for justice unravels into a volatile confrontation with the ghosts of South Philadelphia’s criminal past.

The film, described by critics as “one gripping tale told with authenticity” (A.D. Amorosi), premiered at the Philadelphia Film Festival, winning multiple awards including the Local Audience Award, and later winning Best Feature and Best of Fest at the FirstGlance Film Festival Philadelphia, among other awards.

Produced by Peter D. Pelullo, Mark Webber, William Ostroff, Mike Brillstein, Michael Regalbuto, Tim Dowlin, Frank Tartaglia, and Brandon Brooks, the film stands as both a tribute to Tartaglia’s creative legacy and to the city that shaped it. Buffalo 8 co-founders Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor serve as executive producers.

Shot entirely on location in Philadelphia, Not For Nothing blends the grit of an old-school mob drama with the emotional realism of modern storytelling, pairing local authenticity with award-winning performances.
